Dems Smell Blood in 10th, Send Kulongoski

From a stoked Jean Cowan campaign, knowing Democrats have a sizeable early voting edge and that support from groups like the Bus Project and service unions is coming Sunday, the news that Governor Kulongoski will make two stops Monday in the 10th House District to support Cowan against incumbent Alan "Free Meat" Brown is icing on the cake. The tight race is considered a necessary pickup if Democrats are to take control of the House, and the party is making a strong final play--especially by giving a half day of Kulongoski's time on the last real campaign day of the election.

In-district encounters are important in areas where local media are scant, but a visit from the governor might attract Portland affiliate attention, which feeds into most of the Central Coast homes in the district. If you're in the area, you can see Ted and Jean at The Anchor Inn, 4417 SW Hwy 101 in Lincoln City at 1230pm. Then maybe you'll have a little time left to help push the vote?
