Did the Oregonian buy itself a house in the Virgin Islands too?

So was the Oregonian never going to write about Gordon's Smith's helping rich Americans dodge their patriotic American duty?

Even while the progressive blogs from Oregon talk about Smith's foibles, the vaunted O measures its mention far from the front pages, tucked neatly into a column by Steve Duin.

Oregon's Junior Senator is the point man for creating IRS loopholes for rich people so big that you could drive Howard Stern's ego through them--and the state's paper of record doesn't bother mentioning it on their front page?

Smith's activity here certainly doesn't line up with the values of the vast majority of Oregonians. Why is the Oregonian essentially giving Smith a great big pass on this?
