Wyden Disdains "Slow-Growth" Plans; Fathers Twins

Two more lanky Oregon Democrats on the way?

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden and his wife, Nancy, are expecting twins, the Oregon Democrat's office said Tuesday.

Wyden and the former Nancy Bass, 46, were married in 2005. She is co-owner of The Strand book store in New York City. The twins are due this fall, said Wyden's chief of staff, Josh Kardon.

Bon chance, Senator! We also hear from Kardon that while the babies are due this fall, the Wydens are currently considering whether to only fund their gynecologist through July, and re-evaluate again then based on successfully reached benchmarks by hospital staff.
