Beavers Do it Again! Coming Home for Super Regional

The Oregon State baseball team, defending national champions but a wholly different team in 2007, has once again defied expectations and odds by qualifying for Super Regionals, moments ago in a decisive 7-3 win over the Virginia Cavaliers. Needing to win 3 elimination games in about 24 hours after falling to the Cavs in 13 innings on Saturday, OSU knocked out Big East champion Rutgers, then took two from the regionally top-seeded Cavaliers on their own field.

By rule, the Michigan Wolverines as a #2 seed should be hosting the #3 Beavers for the Super Regionals, but for some reason they have demurred--and that means the scene shifts to Corvallis on Saturday. Check OSUBeavers.com for ticket information; public sales begin Thursday.
