Drinking Liberally tonight--preKos edition

Drinking Liberally

The Portland Chapter of of Drinking Liberally meets up tonight at The Lucky Lab brewpub on SE Hawthorne in Portland, 7PM.

There's quite a fun little agenda on tap this week:

-Apparently..you can touch this Hammer. Pot shots will be taken at Tom DeLay with (hopefully) the accompanying copies of the latest editorial cartoons expressing glee at his demise.

-You say you want some ev-o-lu-tion..well you know...we all wanna change the world

-Lots of local election and scandal stuff to talk about: Emilie Boyles, Foxworth and whatever else rocks your jukebox.

-And of course the pending Portland visit this week of Markos Moulitsas Zuniga (of DailyKos.com) and Jerome Armstrong (founder of MyDD.com--and Dean net guru). They're the authors of Crashing The Gate which is apparently quite good. I haven't read it yet. Being a liberal, I plan to sponge someone else's copy. Heh.

Markos and Jerome will be at the Lucky Lab on Sunday April 9 from 3:30-7:00. Please..if you're an Oregon progressive blogger--SHOW UP. This will be a great chance to meet other progressives and particularly bloggers. And its the perfect opportunity to pick the brains of Markos and Jerome about blogging.

You should also plan to attend the Markos/Jerome fest carry over to Monday night. They'll be helping to raise money for Rob Brading, who's running for the Oregon House against...(Wicked Witch of the West music)...Karen Minnis.
