I didn't know it was lost

Finding Gresham about to get easier
Identity - As the city improves its reputation, new signs along Interstate 84 will make more clear where it is

GRESHAM -- With few signs to guide them on Interstate 84, out-of-towners looking for the Portland area's second-largest city occasionally wind up lost in the Columbia River Gorge.

It's a problem that has long rankled Gresham's civic leaders, who view the scarcity of Gresham-specific signs on I-84 as a snub to their community of 95,000 -- and a factor in the city's reputation as a second-rate slice of suburbia.

Even locals from across the metro area complain they can't find the place.

Hmmm...so if Gresham hadn't "improved its reputation", would they still not get any signs pointing in their direction?

Does this mean if I move to an area with a crappy reputation that political canvassers and religious door-knockers won't be able to find me?
